BMW K1200RS

On Sunday, March 26, 2000, at 12:00 PM in Danbury, Connecticut, a large group of BMW K1200RS motorcycles and their riders will unite for a day of rides, photo/video opportunity, grub and camaraderie. This will be the first time such a large number of K1200RS motorcycles will have gathered in any one place.

The gathering will start at Marcus Dairy right off I-84, and move from that location for a photo/video opportunity and the traditional "story telling" between riders.

There are currently 58 riders who have registered for the ride and more are expected to show up. Initially the first group of registrants has been from a very active K12RS Forum on the Internet.

This K12RS run, should be a nice one. I personally am very excited about the prospects of seeing a large number of these beasts all in one place. It should make a wonderful image as well. I think besides the main BMW AG storage lot, this may be the only other place that one can see some possibly fifty K12RSes in one place.

Although riders of other brands and models are welcome to join in later for the afternoon rides, the initial gathering will be limited to K1200RS only. It is not the groups intention to offend or slight any of our motorcycle brothers and sisters and with that, we hope all will understand our mission for this first time event for the BMW K1200RS. With that in mind we are making this a K1200RS event only. We welcome all of you K1200RS riders to share in the festivities of our Spring Equinox Ride.
